Brown Bear Observes Surroundings

As the leaves change, a bear's activity levels change as well. Gone are the hyperactive days of hyperphage, where bears are in a constant state of hunger. As we get closer to winter, bears lounge, play, and ponder their surroundings as they wind down into a state of torpor. Bears that have enough food do not hibernate but will become inactive.
