President Trump attacks Pope Leo XIV in Truth Social Post
April 12, 2026, Truth Social on X: On Easter Sunday, April 12, Trump, 79, posted an image on Truth Social that appeared to have been inspired by Jesus Christ healing the sick. He didn’t include a caption on his post. The AI-generated image showed Trump dressed in a white and red robe with one hand on a sick man’s forehead as if curing him. A praying woman, a soldier and a nurse were pictured looking towards him, while a U.S. flag and fireworks appear in the background. In the sky of the AI-generated photo, several soldiers, including one with an approximation of the Statue of Liberty's crown, are backlit by the sun as they appear to float behind Trump. Bald eagles and fighter jets fly overhead. The image, seemingly inspired by Christianity, was posted around 40 minutes after he posted a lengthy rant on the social media platform criticizing Pope Leo.
